Be a Disciple
A disciple is one who follows. As Christians, we strive to follow Jesus. That means having the same attitude towards this world that He does, showing love the way He does, and obeying the Father the way He showed us. Bible study, corporate worship, serving others, prayer, sharing the hope of Jesus, and fellowshipping with other believers is all part of being a disciple of Jesus.
Make a Disciple
Train someone else to do what God has gifted you to do. Do you have the gift of mercy? Bring another with you when you visit someone who is hurting. Do you have the gift of hospitality? Teaching? Running a sound board? Organizing an event? God has gifted each of us in ways necessary for the church to operate the way He wants. “Train your replacement” is what the world would say. Not so you can quit, but rather to build a healthy church and make meaningful relationships while using your gift for the kingdom.
Send a Disciple
As you teach others to do what you can do, they are able to take part, and soon God will send them out to use those new skills where they are needed, or maybe, send you out. As we put our God given talents to work, God will use us for His kingdom, and entrust more to us.
He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:16 (NLT)
