Steve Perkins is one of the Elders of Calvary Chapel Windsor.
He began serving in ministry in ____, having been in his current role since May of 2025.
I was born in San Antonio and grew up in small towns in Texas. After graduation from high school I enrolled at Abilene Christian University. I left Abilene with not only a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies but also my precious wife, Susan.
We started our life together by leaving for Guatemala for a two-year missions tour. The Lord was kind and protected us during some turbulent political years in Central America and upon completing our tour, we returned to the US.
I was unsure at that time what the Lord was calling me to do. However, as He often does, He opened a door I didn’t really see coming and I began a career in business. Shortly thereafter, we were blessed with a daughter and then 2 years later a son.
For thirty-three years I worked in the pharmaceutical industry, first in sales and then in a variety of positions that moved us several times, including a short stay in Caracas, Venezuela.
After retiring in 2015, we returned to Texas, expecting that to be our last move. But God, as He often does, had other plans.
Our two kids, having married and started lives of their own, had provided us with five precious blessings - two sweet girls and three rambunctious boys. All, sweet gifts from the Lord.
In 2023, after much prayer, we felt the Lord was leading us to pull up stakes and move to Greeley in order to be nearer to our grandkids (and their parents).
Our heavenly Father, wasn’t quite through blessing us yet and He led us to Calvary Chapel Windsor where we found a wonderful church family and body in which we could serve.
