Bob Chipman leads the Men Ministry of Calvary Chapel Windsor.
He also serves as Treasurer of the church's Financial Committee .
He began serving in ministry in 2002, having been in his current role since August of 2021.
I grew up right here in Windsor, Colorado with my parents, two brothers and a sister. I joined the US Navy right out of high school. Making it a career I retired after 22 years of service. I then went on to work in public sector, primarily as a quality control analyst and instructor. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Work Education Development from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, IL and a Masters of Arts in Christian Studies with a focus on Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
I grew up in the church and while knowing the gospel at early age I didn’t really take it seriously or apply its teachings to my life. A visit to the mailbox in February 2002 helped to change my Christian walk as I (as well as many others) received an invitation to attend a new church in Folsom, CA. I went to that church that Sunday, and after several months of attendance, rededicated my life to Jesus.
It was here that I met my wife Joymay at the churches singles group. Joymay and I married in April 2004. During the next several years we have led a Bible study group in our home. At the end of 2010 we packed up our bags and moved to Windsor, Co, my boyhood home.
In January 2011 we met Scott Cox and his board members while having breakfast at the "Egg and I". Joymay and I attended Calvary Chapel that Sunday and have been active in the church in various activities since that visit. I began leading the Saturday men’s Bible study and after the church moved to its current home, I moved the study to Thursday nights.
My favorite verse is Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
