Heidi is the Operations Coordinator at Calvary Chapel Windsor.
She has been serving in her current role since February of 2026.
I was born in Springfield, Missouri, the second-born of 4 girls. My first year of life was spent in the St. Louis Children’s hospital undergoing chemotherapy treatment for a rare and aggressive pediatric cancer. But God performed a miracle of healing and after my parents were told they would lose their baby girl, my tumor shrunk to the size of a pea and was no longer cancerous. I can now praise the Lord for 20+ years of being in remission.
At the age of 6, my family moved to Lamar, Missouri, where I lived until I moved out to Windsor, Colorado in the summer of 2023. I always grew up in church and have seen the Lord providing for and guiding my family in times where there was a lot of bondage, fear, and uncertainty. I remember times of my sisters and my parents huddling together just to pray for money for our next meal, next electric bill, or next tank of gas. God never failed to provide just what we needed right when we needed it. Almost always in ways we never would’ve expected. I said a prayer of giving my life to Christ at a young age but I really didn’t start having a serious commitment and relationship with the Lord until I was 15. It’s been a continual journey since then, each year learning more and more how much I try to live out this christian walk in my own strength, seeing how every area of my life needs to be fully surrendered to Him. Which doesn’t take away the trials, but it does give you a stronghold, calm assurance, and joy in a very dark world.
Moving out to Colorado was a fresh start and new beginning for me and my family, in more ways than I can express. The Lord provided a way for my parents and two younger sisters to join me in Windsor, 8 months after I moved out here. He led us to Calvary Chapel Windsor (by moving my family into the house right next door to the church), and I’m beyond grateful for the love and community I’ve found here. Growing up in a church culture of works-based christianity, “love” shown mostly through harshness, and constantly being controlled by fear, I don’t even know how to express how freeing it has felt to experience the opposite of all those things since moving to Colorado. I’m so excited to now be serving on the staff here at church and excited to see what the Lord has ahead!
